Shaking off Splendour with an evening slide 29 July

Welcome

Monday, 30 July

Town was packed and buzzing thanks to Splendour in the Grass this weekend.

After getting amongst it to see the likes of Jack White, Kimbra and The Shins Friday evening, by Saturday I was looking to take it easy. So I was pleasantly surprised to see uncrowded waves on both sides of the Cape, with the Bay dishing up some ankle slappers for the log and the open beaches delivering clean fun waves in the 2-3 foot range... perfect conditions for a recovery surf.

It's looking similar again today, if you too intend on recovering from Splendour with a wave. Looks like we have another solid swell hitting our shores by Wednesday, check out puredrift.com for more images throughout the week.

Enjoy. Trent
