Australia's largest international Festival of Blues & Roots Music takes over Byron Bay every Easter and features some of the world’s top blues and roots artists in a jam-packed weekend of world-class entertainment.
The 23rd Annual Byron Bay Bluesfest looks set to be a fantastic performance with an exciting line up.
Bluesfest 2012 will be held at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, just off the Pacific Highway, 10 minutes north of Byron Bay, over the Easter Weekend: Thursday 5th of April to Monday 9th of April.
This year the Festival leads off with some massive names in Blues, Rock, Country & Progressive Rock, rounded off with some funk magic and guitar wizardry such as Roger Daltrey, Earth Wind & Fire, The Pogues, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Australia’s own John Butler Trio.
The second round mixes it up from absolute Legends to some of the most superb Roots artists performing today, including Crosby Stills & Nash, The Specials, John Hiatt & The Combo, Lucinda Williams plus 9 more artists.
The 3rd round of artists appearing at Bluesfest is all about the next generation of emerging artists as well as a few artists who are headliners in their own right: Zappa Plays Zappa (pictured), Blue King Brown, Sublime with Rome, Josh Pyke and more.
